Car crash leaves man critical
A man is in a critical condition following an accident on the R25, near Bapsfontein, today (July 6).
On arrival, Netcare 911 paramedics and other services found a side impact crash involving a light utility vehicle and a heavy goods vehicle.
“Upon assessment of the occupants of both vehicles, paramedics found that a man travelling in the light utility vehicle was in a critical condition following the crash,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann.
“The critically injured man was treated at the scene, skilfully removed from the vehicle and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.”
None of the occupants of the heavy goods vehicle were injured.
The exact details of the side impact crash and the preceding events are still unclear at this stage and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
