For the love of art
A variety of timeless art pieces from the 20th century to modern times are all part of the City of Ekurhuleni's Springs Art Gallery (SAG) ,at this year's prestigious Acquisition Exhibition.

The SAG Acquisition Exhibition kicked off on July 27 and is scheduled to end on September 30.
The exhibition showcases items that were acquired by the city through donations, commissions, advertisements and gifts that have been collected over the years.
Art lovers will enjoy the lively and attractive exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculptures in varying mediums.
Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe, said: “As the City of Ekurhuleni we invite all citizens who are passionate about art and those who want to learn more about it to interact and consult with us at our exhibitions, in order to establish solid partnerships in growing the love of art in our communities.”
Schools, universities, adult groups, community centres and individual artists will have an opportunity to view the gallery’s permanent collection through a guided tour.
The Springs Art Gallery (corner Fifth Street and Sixth Avenue) is open and access is free of charge from 9am until 4:30pm on weekdays.
On Saturdays, the gallery opens from 8am until noon.
