Bring toys for the kids in court

The Rotary Club of Benoni is calling for donations of toys from the public.

These toys will serve to entertain children in waiting rooms at the Benoni Magistrates Court and the Daveyton Magistrates Court.

Children wait in specified rooms before they have to testify in court, sometimes in domestic abuse cases.

The club has already repainted the walls in the rooms and has provided a blackboard in Daveyton and a TV in Benoni, but Rotarians urge the public to donate soft toys with which the children can play.

Children’s books will also be appreciated.

Donations can be dropped off at AS Steijn Attorneys, at 64 Fourth Avenue, Northmead.
