Man hijacked on Kemston Avenue

A man was hijacked this morning (November 13), at 6.00am, on Kemston Avenue, Western Extension.

According to acting Benoni SAPS media officer, Const Zunickha Essakjee, the man parked his car on the pavement, went to close the gate when two men approached him.

“One suspect produced a firearm, ordered the man not to look at him and demanded his car keys,” added Essakjee.

“The suspects robbed the man of his cellphone and drove away with a red Ford Fiesta.”

A case of hijacking was opened at the Benoni Police Station.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
