Man arrested with dagga, CAT

A man was arrested for being in possession of dagga and CAT, at the Northmead Square, on November 21.

The EMPD Equestrian Unit made the arrest as part of their “Bumper to Bumper” operation.

“They arrested a 21-year-old who was seen sauntering aimlessly around the shops,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“He was confronted by the Metro Police and two packets, one with dagga and the other with CAT, estimated to be worth around R200, were confiscated from him.

“In-depth investigations are underway to find out for who the suspect works.”

The man was charged for being in possession of drugs.

He is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrates Court soon.
