Great success with tops and tags initiative

Collecting bottle tops and plastic bread tags has been a success for St Dunstan's College.

The school acquired 24 wheelchairs for the needy this year, exceeding their target of 20 by four.

St Dunstan’s have, for the past three years, been using these waste items to trade for wheelchairs.

This on-going initiative is open to all members of the public and the school will continue collecting tops and tags throughout the year.

People who wish to start a collection can drop off their tops and tags directly at the Interwaste offices, at 2 Brammer Street, Industries East, Germiston South.

For more information, contact Interwaste on 011 323 7300 or 0860 927830, or email to info@interwaste.co.za.
