Four gunmen wanted for Mackenzie Park attempted hijacking

Four men are on the run after an attempted hijacking in Flamingo Avenue, Mackenzie Park, on December 14 at around 7.45pm.

According to Benoni SAPS spokesperson,Lieut Nomsa Sekele, a man stopped his vehicle at his garage gate, climbed out and opened the car’s boot.

“Suddenly a white Audi stopped next to his car and four armed men approached him,” added Sekele.

“One of the robbers pointed a gun at him and demanded the car keys.

“He then fought with the man, refusing to give him the keys.”

The thugs fled the scene when the garage door opened.

Nothing was taken and no arrests have been made.

A case of attempted hijacking was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
