Daveyton man arrested for murder
A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Gabon informal settlement, Daveyton.
The deceased was stabbed to death on November 6, 2015.
Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Sgt Constance Moalusi said it is alleged that the two men were fighting over illegal electricity connections.
“The suspect then allegedly stabbed the deceased in his upper body and fled the scene,” said Moalusi.
A case of murder was opened at the Daveyton Police Station.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
