I would like to thank the City Times for publishing my letter concerning the Northfield Methodist Church, in the newspaper dated February 19.

I am now writing to give you an update on the progress.

I had a meeting with John van de Laar and we have come to an amicable arrangement whereby I have been able to replace the broken wishing well and restore it to its original position.

I thank your paper for me allowing me the opportunity to express my grievance and to also thank the church for quickly resolving the situation, as my late son’s anniversary is on March 30 and I will have somewhere to go and spend some precious, peaceful time with my memories.

I am ever grateful.
