Rafts to set sail on Homestead

The event is one of the biggest on the Scouting calendar, with crews coming far and wide to participate.

About 50 rafts are expected to be launched on Homestead Dam from 11am on May 14, where they will be expected to be on the water for 24 hours.

There will also be a Beaver Challenge, aimed to entertain the younger Cub Scouts – aged between 7 to 14 – during the day on Saturday.

Members of the public are welcome to attend on both Saturday and Sunday, at Arrowe Park, in Lakefield Extension 21.

There will be a fee for members of the public wanting to show their support.
