Calling all adventure seekers

If you are interested in the history of the East Rand and want to make a difference in people’s lives, you need to book your spot in the Hospice East Rand Adventure.

Individuals and business are asked to get involved in the June 12 road trip, which will serve as a fund-raiser for hospice.

People will pay to enter their vehicle in the trip and businesses can sponsor prizes or money to help raise much-needed funds for hospice.

“This year’s adventure will have a historical theme and participants will follow in the footsteps of Sir George Farrar,” said Laura Kirsten, Hospice East Rand PRO and fund-raiser.

“Four participants per vehicle will complete a road trip in three East Rand towns.”

The towns are Benoni, Boksburg and Bedfordview.

Kirsten said a minimum of R50 000 needs to be raised from the trip.

Between two and four people are allowed per vehicle, and there is space for only 50 cars along the route.

Hospice East Rand cares for patients with life-limiting diseases.

Their area of service covers Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Germiston, Edenvale, Bedfordview, Brakpan, Springs, Nigel, Vosloorus and Daveyton.

To book, or for more information, contact Kirsten on 083 274 5288 or email to laura@hospiceeastrand.co.za.
