On a winning streak

Clarissa Forster (5), of Farrarmere, entered her four-month-old female pug, Sophia, at the Pug Club of Gauteng show which was held in Bedfordview on September 17.

Sophia was placed first in the spring bonnets fancy dress, first in the best puppy four-to-six months, third with Clarissa in the Junior Handler and fourth in the open class for best tail categories.

The youngster got her puppy almost three months ago because she is an only child and wanted a friend.

Her parents, Cindy and James, decided to enter the pug in the competition because they thought it would be great fun for the whole family.

“She is playful and I like her,” said the five-year-old.
