Rape suspect denied bail
The suspect who was arrested in connection with the rape of a woman in Fairleads, was denied bail and is due to reappear in court on December 5.
DNA testing results are still outstanding.
The man, who was arrested on September 9, in Rynfield, was also denied bail at his fourth appearance, on October 3, in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court.
His first appearance, on September 12, was postponed to September 16, for legal aid.
It was then postponed to September 22 for his first bail application and postponed again on September 22 to October 3, for his second bail application, which was denied.
