Carcasses found in veld near Modderbee
Cow carcasses were photographed in the veld near Modderbee Prison yesterday (March 29).
The images were sent to the City Times, which then forwarded them to the Benoni SPCA.
The society’s manager, Vicky Finnemore, said the carcasses appear to be those of cows.
She said they are most likely the leftovers of animals that were slaughtered for a traditional wedding.
Finnemore said carcass finds of this nature happen “all the time”.
