Benoni High Pipe Band makes school proud
The Benoni High School Pipe Band took part in the South Coast Highland Gathering on April 29 and 30, a national championship on the pipe band calendar.
The Novice Juvenile Pipe Band took first place in their section, winning both the March Selection and March Strathspey and Reel contest.
They competed against Jeppe High School for Boys, King Edward VII School, Cornwall Hill College and St Benedict’s College.
The band members and tutors also competed in the solo events at the South Coast Highlands Gathering.
