Benoni nurses honoured on International Nurses’ Day
Several hospital and care facilities celebrated International Nurses’ Day on May 12 by treating their carers with honour in appreciation of their efforts and the role they play in society.

Netcare Linmed Hospital treated their carers to a red carpet informal event with treats to thank them for their hard work. Some of these carers are (from left): Thelma Masha, Olive Nesengani, Irene Muvhango, Phumzile Sihlangu and Gabsile Mavimbela.
Mary Moodley Clinic treated their nurses to a candlelight ceremony and relaxed lunch to honour them.
The caregivers at Fairleads Retirement Village celebrated International Nurses Day on May 12. Life the Glynnwood Hospital celebrated International Nurses Day. Seen here are the unit managers of each ward at the hospital. The nurses light a lamp in memory of Florence Nightingale and read the nurses’ pledge, which states that they will honour the role they play in assisting all patients.
