Competition meets expectation
Benonians were treated to delicious biltong on Saturday, last week.
The City Times hosted a Father’s Day biltong tasting competition at Northmead Square, with a wide selection of biltong from the following butcheries and biltong outlets: Biltong Company, High Road Butchery, Meat Empire, Matt’s Meat, Meat World, Bella’s Biltong and Paizies Butchery.
The suppliers did not disappoint – just ask the three judges! The biltong was rated as follows by Marius Marx, Johann Peach and Joe Standuhar who enjoyed the judging experience.

Patrons at Northmead Square enjoyed tasting the biltong and many entered their name in a lucky draw to stand a chance of winning one of five biltong hampers, which were sponsored by Paizies Butchery, Biltong Company, Bella’s Biltong, Meat Empire and Meat World.
