Northmead man creates beautiful instruments
Northmead’s Stanley Malebysse-Smith believes he is the only harp craftsman in South Africa.
The 62-year-old said God has called him to build harps in order to bring back ancient worship.
“God never calls the qualified, he calls the willing, then qualifies them,” he said.
This is proof for the Northmead man that he has found his calling, as he had no training in harp construction, but learnt the craft as he built the musical instruments.
He makes 10, 22, 34 and 37-string harps from his home.
