Pools usually open in September.
Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality spokesperson Themba Gadebe said the pools are closed due to a shortage of cleaning chemicals.
“Residents will be notified in due course when all pools will be ready to open,” said Gadebe.
“The municipality apologises for the inconvenience.”
