Mahlangu is quoted as saying that the ETI will present a memorandum of demands in relation to the roll-out of the Harambee Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

He said as the ETI they are 100 per cent behind the Harambee BRT system. However, they are now of the view that the project continues to suffer a lot of delays.

Benoni Taxi Association chairperson Dumisani Ntuli said Benoni will not be affected by the strike and that everything will run as normal.

“The strike will only affect areas like Tembisa, Kempton Park and Germiston,” he said.
