Buy a boerie roll to help burn survivors

Help foundation raise money for burn survivors.

Directors and volunteers of the Life Goes On Foundation for Burn Victims sold boerewors rolls at Rynfield Terrace on June 9 to help reach their fund-raising target of between R80 000 and R120 000.

The team of volunteers that work at the foundation are (from left): Sihle Nkosi, Nelisiwe Mtanti, Qophelo Mthalane and Mbali Kumalo.

“We will be doing this every Saturday until we’ve raised the money,” said one of the directors, Wiseman Mkhonto.

According to Mkhonto, the purpose of the foundation is to educate the public about burn survivors and to provide the survivors with medical care packs and encourage them to participate in recreational sports as a way of rehabilitating them back into the community.
