Donate wool to help upskill pregnant moms
Throughout July, the organisation will be teaching moms to crochet so that they can generate an income.
The community can help Life Choices Pregnancy Crisis Centre in Northmead teach moms crocheting skills by donating wool.
Throughout July, the organisation will be teaching moms to crochet so that they can generate an income by the sale of handmade items.
This is in addition to the weekly antenatal, child development and life skills workshops currently run to help mothers earn an income and be present parents.
Lauren Jee, founder of the organisation, said each workshop is designed to give mothers valuable skills or teachings which they will need for raising their children.
“They also get to interact with other mothers that have children in similar age groups,” said Jee.
“All of our services are free of judgement and are done with lots of love, encouragement and support.
“As a community of women, we are able to make a much bigger impact and it’s such a privilege for us to walk this road with each mother.”
Wool donations can be dropped off at the Covenant Life Centre, Webb Street, Northmead.
