Two foetuses found in Putfontein

No arrests have been made, police are investigating.

Putfontein SAPS are looking for anyone who has information regarding a human foetus found on July 8.

The foetus was found at Mawela Street, Mayfield, around 11am.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube said a member of the community alerted police about the foetus that was dumped.

In another incident, a foetus was found near Malherbe Road, Putfontein, around 9.30am.

Ramaube said a community member alerted the police after he noticed children playing at a dumping site.

Two cases of concealment of birth have been opened at the Putfontein Police Station.

No arrests have been made, police are investigating.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is urged to contact the Putfontein SAPS on 011 845 6315 or 08600 10111.
