HR Company Solutions, a Benoni-based recruitment agency, was delighted to support Mandela Day (July 18).
Madelein Smit, managing director of HR Company Solutions, had envisioned creating something eternal for the community and decided to support Nyeleti’s Children’s Home situated in Putfontein.
The home shelters and feeds 23 children from one month to 17 years old.
The home overcame a devastating fire last year, which resulted in major damage to their outbuildings.
Smit said: “My team and I bring light to many people’s lives when we facilitate new career’s for people, which is why when I found out that Nyeleti means ‘star’, I knew that we could make a small difference in the lives of the children.
“With the help of Peter Potgieter from Alu-Doorwin, we began refurbishing the little school on the property and it has been incredible to see the transformation that has taken place.”

The staff and management of HR Company Solutions were thrilled to host a party for the children and share a gift with them among the happy tears and celebrations of their new school building.
Nomsa Sithole, owner of Nyeleti’s Children’s Home, said: “The journey to rebuild this facility has instilled hope in our little family and it is a blessing to partner up with such a wonderful team who passionately want to have an impact on our lives.”
She went on to thank everyone at HR Company Solutions for all that they have done for her organisation and looks forward to a lasting relationship with all involved.
A special thank you was also given to Gareth Dickens at H2H Glass for his donation of glass and putty for the building.
Smit wishes the children many happy hours of learning and fun in their new structure and encourages the public to reach out to this worthy establishment as they desperately rely on donations for food and clothing, it will be greatly appreciated.
