In the spirit of Mandela Day, Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora together with SA Home Loans East Rand spent their 67 minutes painting six classrooms at the John Wesley Community Centre pre-school in Etwatwa on July 18.
The pre-school caters for 225 underprivileged children and they also have 120 children for their aftercare programme.
John Wesley Community Centre social auxiliary worker Phindile Mthombeni said they are grateful to everyone who has spent their 67 minutes at the centre.
“We do community work every day and it’s so nice when the community lends a helping hand,” said Mthombeni.
