Mashudu Malema, the sixth known suspect in the murder of Rhythm City actor Dumisani Masilela, will reappear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on September 25.
Malema made his first appearance in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on August 21. He was expected to reappear on August 27 for a formal bail application, however, the case was postponed again.
The other accused will appear in the Pretoria High Court for trial from October 8 to 19.
Malema will appear on the same charges as other three accused who previously appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court, Sfundo Nkosi (29), Bongani Masombuka (34) and Khumbudzo Mukhuba (27), and are awaiting trial.

All are being held in connection with the shooting of Masilela during an attempted hijacking in August last year.
On August 2, the suspects allegedly hijacked a Jeep Wrangler in Daveyton and, later that day, the same vehicle was allegedly used in the attempted hijacking of Masilela in Tembisa, during which he was shot.
Masilela drove himself to Tembisa Hospital where he died from his injuries the next day.
