Fire leaves Mary Moodley Memorial Clinic Structure undamaged

Nobody was hurt in the fire.

A fire broke out on the outskirts of the Mary Moodley Memorial Clinic premises in Actonville on Friday evening (September 14), but there was no structural damage and nobody was hurt.

According to a clinic source, who did not want to be named, the fire apparently started outside the fence which caught on one of the palm trees on the premises and then burnt a few more trees before being extinguished.

It is uncertain how the fire began.

The City Times is awaiting a response from the Disaster and Emergency Management Services.
