Come vote for your favourite school art piece at the Square

There is also a prize for the school with the most entries.

The public is invited to come along and vote for their favourite entry in the Northmead Square School Art Competition 2018.

A total of 21 pieces (top three in each category) will be exhibited at the shopping centre from November 2 to 9, during which the public can view and vote.

The winners will be determined on November 9 and contacted by the organisers to attend a prize giving.

Entries were received in the following categories: Primary school (ages six to seven, eight to nine, 10 to 11 and 12 to 13) and high school (ages 14 to 15, 16 to 17 and 18 to 19) and the theme of the competition was My Benoni.

Entries also had to reflect the Northmead Square logo and slogan “more of what you love”.

Winners will receive prizes to the value of R2 000 each and their artwork will be published in the City Times.
