Home Start welcomes new start

The revamp for the building, situated in Western Extension, began as a Mandela initiative in July.

Home-Start welcomed their new start on November 2 at their official launch where they thanked everyone who played a key role in the transformation.

“The revamp at the offices was done to create a safe and peaceful environment for families and children that we support,” director Erica Strydom told the City Times in a previous article.

The following sponsors were thanked for their contribution

• Absa Home Loans Division for painting the interior of the offices.

• Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora for the raw materials needed to make the blinds for the offices and for their contribution of play materials for the children’s playroom.

• HR Solutions for assisting in the painting and clean-up of the offices.

• Kennametal Pty Ltd painted the roofs.

• Sunward Park Gemeenskapskerk for building the desks in the training room, painting the interior door frames and planting in the garden.

Stephen Carton-Barber who is the chairperson of Home-Start handed out certificates of appreciation to the sponsors at the launch.
