Kids Haven girls receive pads

More than 40 000 packets of pads were donated in just three weeks through the campaign.

In conjunction with the Million Comforts campaign, the Discovery Vitality customers were encouraged to donate their Vitality Active rewards by donating a packet of sanitary pads to the Dis-Chem Foundation for distribution through the Caring for Girls team.

The donations were handed over to Kids Haven on November 20.

More than 40 000 packets of pads were donated in just three weeks through the campaign.

Dis-Chem and Stayfree agreed to brand match all donations, doubling the count to 80 000 packets, just under one million individual pads.

The organisers thanked the Discovery Move to Give initiative and all customers for joining hands with the Dis-Chem Foundation and Caring For Girls, in helping to keep more girls in school this year.
