Benoni Flying Squad nabs suspected drug dealer with a R2-m stash

The suspects, aged between 23 and 48, are scheduled to appear in the respective Magistrate's Courts soon.

Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members recently arrested five suspects for various crimes, including a suspect found with drugs worth R2-million.

Three suspects were arrested in Daveyton, in Mocke, Sia and Mpondo streets, for assault, theft and malicious damage to property.

“A fourth suspect was arrested in Central Avenue, Kempton Park, for shoplifting,” said BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin.

“In further policing, members followed up information in Glen Vista, Mondeor, and arrested a suspect in possession of cocaine, heroin and ephedrine-based drugs with a street value of around R2-m.”

Giblin urged members of the community to report any suspicious behaviour or activity to their local police station or 10111.
