Two people were shot dead and another two injured following a shootout at the N12 informal settlement on April 21 around 6pm.
Crystal Park SAPS spokesperson Const Alex Mokete said according to one of the victims it is alleged that a group of unknown men knocked at their shack’s door.

“When they opened the door for them they started firing shots at the people who were inside the shack,” said Mokete.
“Three people were shot inside the shack and other at a different shack inside the same yard.”
Mokete said two of the men were certified dead on scene by the paramedics and the other two were transported to hospital.
The motive of the killing is unknown and police are investigating.
A case of murder and attempted murder were opened at the Crystal Park Police Station.
Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen or heard anything to come forward with information or to call the crime stop number on 08600 10111.
