Prepare to be amazed and inspired at the LEGO robotics expo

Aimed at the future generations, and in line with the evolving Fourth Industrial Revolution, LEGO Robotics aims to provide a culture of learning, creativity and education.

Northmead Square will be hosting the Pops Toys LEGO Robotics Expo on May 25 and 26.

See, discover and build robotics at the expo which promises to be something for all ages but with a focus on the youth.

Speaking to Northmead Square marketing manager Sharné Bodenstein, the expo will peak interests of those who attend and highlight the importance of being able to code – programme and design robotics.

“It’s going to be a fun event where people will be amazed with the robotics and can use the opportunity to build and learn as well,” explained Sharné.

“It is open to those of any age.

“Even children between the ages of four and five will be able to experience the expo as there will be colour coordinated robotic fun.”

“LEGO Education’s purpose is to deliver playful learning experiences that make learning fun and impactful, that engage every student’s natural curiosity, and help them develop the skills and confidence they’ll need in the future.

Learning to code through LEGO gives learners the opportunity to use a physical problem-solving tool in their coding exercises.

“Their code comes to life in ways they can see, hear, touch and even chase across the room.

“People will be able to expect incredible robotics sets created by some of South Africa’s best robotics engineers as well as representatives from local schools who offer robotics programmes.”

The expo will be held from 9am to 5pm on the 25th and between 9am and 1pm on the 26th.
