Two arrested for drug possession

Two men were arrested on the corners of Bunyan Street and Elston Avenue on December 9 by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers.

Around 12.40pm, during the crime-prevention operation, the EMPD DEU officers approached and body searched two suspicious-looking men found idling outside a fast food restaurant,” said EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng.

“The suspicious pair, who are 25 and 37 years of age, were arrested and officers uncovered one block of khat, one quarter moon of cocaine, one piece of rock, 25 knotted plastics of nyaope valued at R400 and R1 370 cash.”
