All Ekurhuleni metro administrative offices, libraries, selected rates halls and pay points will be closed from noon on December 24 and will reopen on January 2.

However, emergency and essential services, such as refuse collection, electricity and water services, will not be affected by the recess, though refuse will not be collected on December 25.
