The sinkhole on the corner of Snake Road and Golden Drive.

The remedial process on the sinkhole that was identified on November 2 on Snake Road is planned to commence at the beginning of February 2020, according to the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport media liaison, Melitah Madiba.

“According to the Geotechnical report, the sinkhole was caused by the water ingress from a damaged stormwater pipe into erodible fill materials,” she said.
