Deeshandani Moodley proudly walked away with six distinctions at Benoni High School.
The teen said she is undeniably happy to achieve six distinctions and grateful that her hard work paid off.

She told the City Times that one of the main challenges she faced in her matric year was the pressure to achieve great results.
“Many people told me that it is the most important year of my life. There was also an insanely large workload with little time to breathe between each section of work. I struggled with a few sections of work that was new.”
However, stress could not conquer Dee, as she is lovingly known.
“I studied as much as I could, but I also made sure to relax, by talking to my friends and listening to music.
“I also reminded myself to work hard to achieve for myself instead of everyone else. I managed the workload by making my own summarised notes so that it did not feel like such a daunting amount of content to study.
“I made sure to pay special attention to the areas I struggled.”
This year ,the ex-BHS learner intends on doing a correspondence course while working.
“I advise 2020 matrics to work hard every day, rather than slacking off until the last minute.
“Find small pleasures to distress with whenever you can. Remember that as important as your matric results are, life still goes on and there are still so many opportunities, even if you do not achieve the marks you hoped for.”
