A 33-year-old man was arrested for rape on February 8 at Mokgoba Village, Extension 37 in Putfontein around 6.30pm.
Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Raider Ubisi said the man was spotted by the 15-year-old girl who he allegedly raped in November 11, 2018.

“The girl immediately alerted the police and the man was apprehended,” said Ubisi.
“It is alleged that in 2018 the girl was alone in her house. When she opened the door to go to the shop in the morning, she found the man standing there with a firearm.”
Ubisi said the man then threatened the girl, ordered her to get inside the house and lock the security door.
“Fearing for her life, the girl complied with the instructions given by the man.”
The case was opened in 2018 and the suspect fled.
