iThemba is looking for a new centre manager

The starting date is April 1.

The iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre is urgently looking for a new centre manager to fill this recently opened vacancy.

To apply for this position you will need:

• Business Management/Business Administration/Human Resource Management degree or diploma

• Certified copy of a valid driver’s licence

• Contactable references

• Minimum of three years’ experience in human resources will be an advantage.

• Report-writing skill

• Knowledge in supervision

• Knowledge of legislation related to Victim Empowerment Programme and Human Resources

• Excellent writing, communication and language skills

• Five to 10 years of experience working in an administrative environment.

The centre manager will be required to oversee the daily activities and duties at the centre and handle security, operational, human resources and financial matters.

The public relations officer, Rose Maja, added that the centre is in need of donations from the community to fund them since they have been struggling to stay afloat.

“We really need funds in order for us to continue with our passion to help our victims and community,” she said.

The closing date for applications is March 6 at 4pm.
