Girl Guides celebrates 110 years
The scrapbooks were also used as a reference for the quiz game that was played; the top three teams won prizes.
To commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Girl Guides in Benoni, the Trefoil Guild hosted a reunion on Thinking Day (February 22) at Blue Forest, Rynfield.
All former Teddies, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and adult leaders came together to reminisce on their experience as Girl Guides.
A reunion would not be official without a trip down memory lane.
Scrapbooks were placed on tables with pictures and article cut-outs on what they had done through the years.
Ashleigh Jones and Gillian Kiff found an article of them together in 2011 and said joining the Girl Guides was how they met and stayed friends.
