What are the challenges that you think the future generation will face?

The City Times asked the Benoni community to share their thoughts on the matter.

Lebogang Moreetsi: “Drug abuse remains the biggest challenge that the future generation will face. The number of young people who use drugs is high, they are not focused on their future. They need people like us to guide them, otherwise there is no hope in the future of South Africa.”

Karabo Mashego: “The future generation will face scarcity of natural resources because most of them will be consumed in the coming years, and the cost of living will be high due to high inflation that we are currently facing.”

Wendy Bernhardt: “The future generation has no future, the way things are at the moment in this country, I blame the ruling party. Until things change up at the top, I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

Zenelle Snyman: “I personally think they will face a lot of crime, and fewer job opportunities, they will not have a future in South Africa because of the poor economy. The coronavirus will make drastic changes to future generations in terms of the health care system.”
