An inquest docket has been opened at the Benoni Police Station after a homeless man was found dead on July 4 under the bridge on Tom Jones Street.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said the man was found by community members who were passing by.

“Police are investigating the cause of death; however, the man had no visible injuries,” said Sekele.
He was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
