Anyone willing to donate can either buy a hamper for a family for R200 or assist a family for a month, which will cost R800.

The NPO has highlighted that preference will be given to residents of the greater Benoni and surrounding areas.

Any surplus supplies will be handed to other areas in need.

Manogari Moonsammy, founder of the organisation, said they sponsored 25 families every week in June and the number of families have now increased to 96.

The hampers are allocated to the most vulnerable in the community, with no preference of race, religion or nationality.

The foundation is appealing to the community to donate towards the care of these families.

Those who are willing can contact the foundation on 074 099 0999 or email 200percent@gmail.com for more information.
