Daveyton woman gives back on her birthday

Daveyton resident Karabo Mashifane decided to celebrate her 27th birthday by giving back during this Covid-19 pandemic.

The youngster, together with her friends and family, provided a warm soup and bread to shoppers at Mayfield Square on July 17.

She said she decided to celebrate her birthday by sharing a warm meal with the residents because a lot of people are in need during this pandemic.

The group managed to feed 400 people on the day and the shoppers appreciated the warm soup as it was cold on the day.
