Lend a hand to fur babies in need

Shelters that will benefit from this initiative include BARC,TAG, Pug Rescue, Gudwulfs, Pet Rescue, Purple Red Paws and Delmas Animal Shelter

Rynfield resident Sharon Whitehead started the Benoni Community Animal Initiative to assist animal shelters and rescues in the Benoni community with food and blankets.

She was encouraged to start this initiative after seeing how generous community members were towards people in need during the tough times.

As a pet parent to three fur babies, two of which are rescues, she has always wanted to do something to help animals in need.

Sharon is urging residents who can donate dog/cat dry and tinned food, pre-loved or new dog bowls, collars, leads, harnesses, blankets, jerseys, cat litter, cat litter trays, fluffy plush toys, brushes or anything that animals would benefit from to please do so.

Donors can contact Sharon via email on BenoniCommunityAnimalInitiative@webmail.co.za to arrange a drop off or for her to collect in nearby surrounding areas.

Shelters that will benefit from this initiative include BARC,TAG, Pug Rescue, Gudwulfs, Pet Rescue, Purple Red Paws and Delmas Animal Shelter.
