Crystal Park child wants to normalise giving
There is no justice in an unequal society – Enhle Mdakane.
No matter how young you are, you can always make a difference.
This is what Crystal Park resident Enhle Mdakane (11) proved when she donated 35 coats to women in need.
Mdakane, who is a pre-teen finalist of the Mini Miss RSA 2020 pageant, visited the community of Msholozi in Benoni in honour of women.

“The community is made up of many underprivileged families and they are struggling to make it through current circumstances,” the Ashbury College learner said.
“The women are at the heart of this struggle, mothering and taking care of their loved ones, with none of the care returned hence the handing over of the coats to give them warmth through their heroic acts.”
The youngster also paid tribute to Ebrahim Motara, who ensured the hand-over ran smoothly and was a great success.
“He assisted in coordinating and brought together all stakeholders seamlessly and through the way he did it, I realised the love he had for people from all different walks of life,” the Grade Six learner said.
“The community and their humbleness really touched my heart. Their thankful heart brought tears to my eyes and I would like to encourage anyone who is able to give a helping hand to do so with an open heart as nothing is too small for charity.
