Women who are over 18 years old in the East Rand primarily were encouraged to enter the competition, or to nominate someone deserving (with their consent) to receive the makeover.

Entries closed on August 31 and a panel of four judges were chosen to pick the three winners.

“We applaud all our contestants for sharing incredible life stories and circumstances,” said owner or the boutique, Jenny Dharmavir.

“You are marvellous and your bravery to take on the challenge is commendable.”

The four independent judges are:

• Johanna Bezuidenhout: Model and brand ambassador Coverderm Cosmetics

• Ntokozo Masango: Image consultant in Illovo, motivational speaker, wardrobe styling

• Shirley Modlin: Former director at Chickitas, beautician, over 50 years’ experience in fashion

• Natasha Venter: Get it Magazine – experience in styling, modelling, hairdressing

“Judges will have quite a job ahead of them, every contestant is so deserving of the makeover,” Dharmavir said.
The three winning contestants will be notified by email.
