The Benoni police are investigating a case of murder after two men were shot dead this afternoon (September 22) on the corner of Rangeview Crescent and Voortrekker Street, Benoni CBD.
The men are believed to be in their early 30s.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said the victims, driving a silver VW Polo, stopped at a traffic light when two men in a white Ford Ranger shot at them.

“The suspects fled in the Ford Ranger,” said Sekele. The duo was certified dead on scene by paramedics.
The motive of the killing is unknown.
Two cases of murder were opened at the Benoni Police Station.
