Greater Benoni Child Welfare hopes to raise more funds at next event

“We would like to thank everyone who made the day possible and who attended,” said Vanessa.

The Vibe fund-raiser hosted on October 31 for the Greater Benoni Child Welfare was not as well supported as anticipated.

This is according to the director of the organisation, Vanessa Carelse.

However, all was not lost as all the children from the Colin House had fun.

Traditional games were played including a sack race, egg relay race, and tug of war, while a DJ entertained those in attendance.

The 501st Legions (Star Wars accurate replica group) had the tough job of selecting a winner for the best dress Halloween competition, and the choice was not easy as all children dressed in their best attire.

All the children received sweets.

“We would like to thank everyone who made the day possible and who attended,” said Vanessa.
