Officials to reinforce Covid-19 safety messages

MMC for Health and Social Services Nomadlozi Nkosi said the festive season is a joyous time where a lot of social gathering will be held.

The Ekurhuleni metro will continue to reinforce the lockdown level one regulation during the festive season.

A ward-based intervention team will be conducting screening, public education and awareness.

MMC for Health and Social Services Nomadlozi Nkosi said the festive season is a joyous time where a lot of social gathering will be held.

It is, however, during this time that health officials will strengthen their strides to fight the spread of Covid-19 by making sure residents remember to take precautionary measures.

The team will visit various areas across Ekurhuleni to conduct door-to-door interaction with the community and encourage residents to continue adhering to the lockdown regulations, and reiterating the importance of wearing a mask, sanitising and practicing social distancing.

Below is a roster of the areas that will be visited:

• Daveyton mall – December 7.

• Actonville Hostel – December 10.
